Devon Cozens MSW, LCSW

Get Unstuck.

I help individuals, couples, and new parents identify and exit the negative patterns that block them from experiencing their most authentic and engaged connections. Over time, these blocks can become more and more defeating for us.  I want to be that little voice that reminds you there is more to life and love than this.

SERVICES

How can I help?

Individual

Struggling with unhealthy friendships, relationships, or jobs? Feeling stuck or like something's missing? I work best with people in big life transitions that really want to get it right. Breakups, "trust issues", unresolved family experiences, new parenthood, feeling too much/not enough—if any of these sound like you, Goodness Therapy may be a good fit.

Relationships

We found each other! Now what? You have something special worth protecting, but lately communication has gotten difficult. You end up frustrated, hurt, or alone when trying to talk about quality time, money, friends, sex, family, or the future. Maybe your relationship is about to get more serious, you just became parents, or have had a big conflict pop up. If any of this rings a bell, Goodness Therapy might be a good fit.

Supervision

I provide supportive, playful, and experiential supervision for those who are on their path to becoming licensed clinical social workers. I focus on the interventions and micro-moves that shape the therapeutic experience and boost therapist confidence and effectiveness. Role playing and practice are incorporated into all my supervision sessions— including tape review!

About Me

Hi! I'm Devon.

If I’m not working, you’ll probably find me cooking (read: eating), reading, playing games with friends, or maybe on an outdoor adventure. My partner and I recently welcomed our first child and haven’t killed each other (yet), and I’m pretty proud of that. My kid is the apple of my eye.

I am a full-time faculty member in the Department of Social Work at MSU Denver and am so psyched I was able to get out of my own way and make that dream come true. I have extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and am currently working towards certification. I primarily work with folks through this lens and truly believe in the magic of EFT and attachment. I can’t wait to share it with you!

I work with individuals and people in relationships who are getting stuck in the same old patterns over and over. They’re starting to think that these patterns have been limiting. If you suspect some old stories or experiences are holding you back from being the best human beings you can be, you’re my people.

Here to chat, no pressure.

I offer free 15 minute consultations. Let's get to know one another a bit better and determine if working together is a good fit. I'm also always happy to answer questions, so don't hesitate to reach out.

FAQs

Common Questions

Looking for more information on what it could look like to work together? Look no further. Here are some of the most common questions new clients ask:

Investment

Full fees start at $145 for individuals and $165 for relationships, and can be adjusted for longer sessions.

Pay What You Can

Goodness Therapy is committed to doing our part to make sure that quality mental health care is accessible to all. We offer a limited number of “Pay What You Can” opportunities for folks with demonstrated financial need. If you are in a season of your life where money feels like a less significant barrier, you can rest assured that your payment of the full fee is creating an opportunity for someone in our community to get the Goodness they need at a fee they can afford.

About Insurance

I am not in-network with any insurance companies. Using insurance requires a diagnosis and dictates not only the kind of therapy we can do together, but how long our relationship should last. I believe that there is more to mental health than symptom reduction. I also trust us, you and I, to make decisions about what approach and timeline works best for you.

I'm happy to provide a superbill for potential out of network reimbursement, just let me know if this is the route you want to go so we can chat about it further.

Cancellation Policy

To provide the best care for everyone, we have a 24-hr cancellation policy. To account for life's unpredictability, we offer one “Sh*t Happens” card per year. After that, late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full session fee. Yikes! Let's avoid that awkwardness by keeping or canceling appointments in time.

Be back soon

I’m currently on a maternity leave and not accepting any new therapy clients. I am providing supervision on a limited basis, so please reach out with any questions.

Thank you!

We'll be in touch shortly.
